データ移動の"in"と"out"はある地域のAmazon S3（アメリカかヨーロッパ）に入ってくる、あるいは出て行くことを指します。COPYリクエストを使った同じ地域のAmazon S3内でのデータの移動には課金されません。違う地域のAmazon S3間での移動には課金されます。Amazon EC2とAmazon S3の間でのデータの移動は同じ地域なら無料です。違う地域間のAmazon EC2とAmazon S3の間のデータの移動は両方の側でインターネットデータ移動に課金されます。

Data transfer "in" and "out" refers to transfer into and out of an Amazon S3 location (i.e., US or EU). Data transferred within an Amazon S3 location via a COPY request is free of charge. Data transferred via a COPY request between locations is charged at regular rates. Data transferred between Amazon EC2 and Amazon S3 within the same region is free of charge (i.e., $0.00 per GB). Data transferred between Amazon EC2 and Amazon S3 across regions (i.e. between US and EU), will be charged at Internet Data Transfer rates on both sides of the transfer.

Storage and bandwidth size includes all file overhead.
